I must say that I don't see the need for such powerful fans in the HVACs here in the USA, the ones in Oz are silent, we have a large house and it is sufficient to keep us warm and cool, but I can barely hear it circulating the air. But the ones I have heard here in the USA sound like an airplane taking off, is everyone's the same or is it just the ones here in Maryland. Is there a way of dialing them down slowing the fans or making them quieter?

The house here has two full units, two floors to each unit. They start up its like, ***** what the f.. was that, oh yeah the AC.
