He's a shark. He's the best because he's mastered the things that cripple others. Nerves of steel. Intellectual superiority. Not afraid to be in the lead and when he is It doesn't mess with his head--not nearly as much as it does with others who we see choke on the weekend when leading majors. His edge will erode slowly with age but thus far he's mastered aspects of competition that thwart others. Sharks are rarely cuddly and empathetic. They rarely feel your pain. (Bill Clinton being a rare and very clever exception.) Sharks are sociopaths of the ocean and human sharks are sociopaths of society. Tiger kills his competition just as ruthlessly as a great white. He does put on a show with the interviewers but make no mistake, he is all business and just savvy enough to toss a few scraps to the TV crew and select fans. Hating a shark because he's a shark is stupid. A shark is born a shark. Understand that, keep clear of his teeth, stay away from his food/money and you'll enjoy the competition.
