So, I went out and bought a 1999 996 for $10K.
Yes, $10K! Car is in very good condition with 110,000 miles. Manual 6-spd. Savannah beige full leather interior. Factory Sport Design 3-pc BBS wheels. PPI done at EF1 Motorsports in Long Beach. Engine runs strong and compression tested high and even across all cyls. New clutch at 90k. Water pump, AOS, brake pads/rotors all new within the past year. Needed new coil packs, spark plugs, and a few other minor items. I did the coil packs and plugs myself over the weekend and the car passed smog today (dang, the rear-most plugs are a biatch to get to!).
Plan to use the wrecked Boxster to build another Box chassis into a Spec race car.
To say the least, I am happy as a clam!
