Maybe because a couple of the older kids in the neighborhood had them when I was a teenager. Maybe because I've just always loved Oldsmobiles. Back before all GM cars became generic to each other, Oldsmobiles always had a great stock exhaust note and they were just nicer driving cars with better styling and interiors than the others, IMO.

They were never as quick as the best Mopar offerings but I didn't care. I ran out of diesel the other day in a car with a bad gauge/sender and had to walk to the gas station a couple blocks away. Passing one of those ubiquitous auto shop mini-malls, I saw this:






Apparently, it's been sitting there for 7 years. Does the guy want to sell it? Why, yes, he does! Does he want too much for it? Of course he does. That's why it's been sitting there for 7 years. But I'm going to work on him. I'll keep this thread posted.
