The only people who spend $40,000 on a Porsche engine don't know how to do the work themselves. You're right, overhead cam 6 cylinder VW derived engines are too complex for the average Chevy mechanic to rebuild.

Don't pull that 500HP B.S. either. I assure you there are 1980's 930's with 600+ HP. The difference is that they will run 600HP all day and night without bearing failure. I'll pee on your Corvette engine if it overheats. That should fix it.

Oh, and don't you mean $20K on two 500HP engines since you are now doing it all over again?
