I dragged it in yesterday. It has significant rust in the lower fenders, headlight buckets, lower door panels, and door lock posts. However, the underside is surprisingly clean. The suspension , and floor pans are solid, the rockers are nice, ( little rust in the jack point areas) and all the rear structural metal is actually nice and clean.
I drained the fuel, stole the battery out of my 930, and gave it a few cranks. It would not start, found no spark. Checked the coil, and replaced the points. Nice fat blue spark, put some ether to it, and it fired right up. Fuel pump was frozen, so I replaced that , and it lit right up on its own fuel source. Actually sounded good, but was pouring fuel out of all the engine fuel lines. I'll replace all them tomorrow, change the oil, and let it run for a little bit longer.
For the first time in my life, I witnessed a live mouse shooting out the tail pipe . My dad was twisting the key, and I was standing in the back working the throttle, I felt something hit my leg, and when I looked down, there was this little mouse, and his house blown all over my garage floor. He looked stunned for a minute or so, the ran off.
