944 engine swap

Hey guys I am brand new to this forum but have been a long on Vortex a long time so rest assured I have searched and not found to much information on this.

I have a 12v VR6T I have built broken in dyno tuned and then parted out my car for fear of my life : ) 424whp and 450wtq in a fwd MK II jetta is to much. That being said I kept my motor (sold everything else). I have seen one person doing a vr6 swap into a 944 and it seemed like a very snug fit and with the size of my turbo maybe not an option.

I am also in the process of building a 1.8t stroker (2.0). I think this would be a great swap intow a 944. I do love the S2 body but I am looking for a little direction here form someone who has tried this or knows how difficult it will be to make fit. Is it simply a engine adapter plate to the torque tube and fabing up some engine mounts? Not sure if a torque tube makes this an easier or harder idea?

I am guessing the 1.8t is the better motor to drop in?

Here is a few pics and a dyno run of my VRT purely for your entertainment.

this was after the initial build
