I got a Ducane at Home Depot in 2007 for $800. It is 100% non-magnetic stainless steel (300 series) and has zero rust after living outdoors for 5 Portland winters. I do cover it for the worst months, but the water gets inside the cover, come spring I find happy slugs and the stainless steel grill tools are rusty, but the grill is spotless. So bring a magnet and make sure your grill is non-magnetic stainless steel. I think today many are the cheaper but more rust-prone 400 series steel.
