Cool Soft Top window renewed

Here are a few more photo's of the roof going back on the car.

This is how the roof needs to be put back on the car, with it open like this. I managed on my own, but it would be easy for two to lift it on. Put some protection in the trays before you drop the roof in, as they can be easily damaged. I used some old towels, and pulled them out when it was in position.

The roof needs to be real tight up to the door before you try and get your first bolt in the bracket.

You can see the green bolt here, just get a few turns on it then move to the other side of the car.

This is the other side, I have the green bolt in. Now I am preparing to put the rest of the bolts in. You can see I have a 9mm ply packer under the bracket. I found it needed lifting a little to line the other two bolts up. The next photo shows you how I got it under the bracket.

This is how I lifted the roof to get the packer in. You have to be very careful with the trays under and around the bracket, they can be easily damaged. Some people get a flooded car either with damaged trays or blocked drain holes. When I took my roof of I noticed a couple of small tears in the trays, don't no how they got there. I sealed them with a black body panel polyurethane compound.

Thats it for now, I will show the finished job in another post.
