Cooling Fans/Blower Issues
The cooling fans on my 85.5 won't activate automatically...but work fine when switched on using the AC button.
I've recently replaced the thermostat, the upper radiator fan switch, and the fan relay, as well as the water pump, belts, and rollers.
All grounds were cleaned a bit earlier, during a complete engine reseal.
My ritual has been to turn the fans on manually when sitting in traffic, and also for a brief cool-down after shutting down (AC switch on with key turned over). But it sure would be nice if the fans could just come on automatically as they are supposed to.
Not sure what else I can check. Maybe the two "hockey puck" resistors - located behind the glove box?
Also, the blower motor does not work (it did for awhile, although briefly and erratically).
Have replaced the blower motor resistor and relay - still no go.
Any ideas? Thanx!
