First post. I bought my first Porsche 2 mos ago. 964, C4, 89. Car came from Steve at NEA. Car is clean runs well and is everything I could want... but.
The engine has a tick that's not internal.
It's not an exhaust Leak. I did put a Fabspped Cup pipe and cat delete on, but it's not an exhaust leak.
The tick isn't always there. Doesn't happen at idle or if you rev it slowly, but if you snap the throttle it sounds metalic, but not at all RPM's.
I got under the car and used a long screw driver and listened to both heads and the crank case. Quiet at all rpms. Same with in the engine compartment, no odd sounds through the screwdriver.
I have put over 1000 miles on the car, it's fast and strong. The motor was rebuilt 30k ago and it pulls harder then my friends RSA.
But this tick is annoying.
