16D, doubled headed, buried deep. I figured the 16' 2"x4"s would be the most secure.
It was still nasty to look at. Once up top, not to bad.
The pitch of the roof is what was Fed up. If I shoved a 12' pick up there, I would be on my belly.
If i used the 8' I had to crawl out about 2' and hope it wouldn't slide. I
Overall a good day. I roped off the pick to the 2' x 4'. I had to move it twice for masking eaves and panting fascia.
I was losing sleep over this situation. I even put my cellphone in my pocket. So I could call for help if a ended up a pile on the ground.
