Ironic you would say that because unions are a direct form of marxism. From each according to his ability, to each according to his need (or needs).
Unions say all (union) workers are equal regardless of skill or contribution and must be treated equally.
Competion breeds differences in performance levels which identifies different levels of value and contribution, so competition is allowed in the union world. Exceptionalism is forbidden.
