Well, my '44 went kaput on me in the pouring rain Sunday evening. Idle dropped, then motor died while waiting to make a left turn from a middle turn lane.

Funny thing happened once the tow truck driver got there. He had hooked the car up, and is about to start to pulling the car onto the bed of the truck. This car had pulled up behind my 944 and started laying on the horn like they had the duty of the angel of judgement day. I turn with this look of utter what the quacking duck on my face to behold who thus disturbed the simplicity of the sky dumping water upon us.

I think maybe she didn't see that the '44 had its flashers on, or that the big ol' tow truck in front had flashing lights on the roof, or the people standing around. Well, maybe she thought we'd magically move out of her way with majestic blaring of the horn of her car. It gave me a much needed laugh. The look on her face in that situation was priceless. It was like one of those bad pictures of Mrs. Obama they needlessly post in PARF. Eventually she must of figured out we weren't going anywhere soon enough for her, so she took her hand off the horn and pulled around us.

I've had a bunch to do, so have been staying at work, but I've finally taken a look at the car. My thought was the stud of the fly wheel for the reference sensor had backed out or fallen off. Put the car in 5th and looked through the inspection hole while trying to rock the car enough to spin the fly wheel. Sure enough, there is a threaded hole with no stud... pull reference sensor and there is a dent.

That is gonna be a fun fix.
