I'm still calling BS. There is no way to tell how far it is from the guy and he is clearly holding it out toward the camera on some piece of wood. You can see his knuckles on the right side of the snake, and his wrist on the left. I would bet the piece of wood is at least 2 - 2.5 ft. long.
It might be a 5-footer, but regardless of its actual length, if you want to show off how big something is,
lay it on the ground and stretch out a tape measure next to it.
This forced perspective trick has been used way too many times to impress people on the internet. There's no reason to believe this time is any different.
