Drive something with a VR6. In comparison, the 4 cylinder turbos are coarse and unrefined, with a lousy powerband. Nothing much down low, then too big a hit as the turbo gets going. The VR6 has a silky smooth feel, it sounds like a baby Ferrari and it has a nice, even powerband. It's a great motor.
I used to own an S4 with the 2.7 turbo motor. Had exactly zero problems with it, so not all of those were a maintenance nightmare. I sometimes think the people that have problems with Audis just have bad karma, probably from whining about their cars.
