I was thinking of Tim when I made the comment regarding the 2.7tt Audis. Personally I think they are good cars if nothing goes wrong, but a nightmare if heavy repair is required (as Tim experienced). Just from poking around on them, everything is so tightly packaged that most repair requires significant dis-assembly. That was one of the reasons that I purchased the S8, it has plenty of room for easy engine repair and maintenance.
