I had a chance to ride in an incredible car this morning. Talk about an eye opener.
1954 356 pre A coupe.
Why is this in the 911 engine building forum? Take a look.
This little gem has a 2.6 liter Polo engine. 76.4 X 104mm
Rated at about 230 hp the car hauls ass.
The engine is hooked to the ground through a 901 transmission with racing gear ratios and 911 suspension. The brakes are from a Boxster.
I think I finally get it. Why should you build a 4 cylinder 911 engine? Because it's as cool as a 356 can get. IMHO
