Fortunately (or unfortunately...) many, including myself, think the days of a cheap 911 are over. Even the mid-70s cars are selling at a premium.
The truth is that yes, they did make quite a few 911s in the 80s, but as they get older, totaled, whatever, there are less on the road, and they're no longer being made.
My hope, having bought recently, is that the market only continues to rise.
