I actually went to look at/drive a 83 SC last weekend. It was well sorted mechanically, but had some cosmetic issues and interior was so-so, color also less than desirable. It's priced at almost 15k, and part of me thinks it's a fair price, but I just can't help but think "this is a 10k car" when I look at something like that.
By the time you buy it, redo the interior, respray, I have a hard time imagining ever getting my money back out of a run-of-the-mill SC.
BTW, my initial question was directed more towards the middies, sorry.
