well, that sucks. Zoning and bylaw would be my first call, followed shortly after by a call to my lawyer just to make sure I am covered. My girlfriend is a city building inspector and works closely with the bylaw department. She see's this stuff often and in our community land possession almost always trumps assumed easements..... Good luck, there have been instances where an arbitrator rules otherwise but then the party seeking easement encampment must be able to pay retribution to the other party.
