Richard, what do you think of that crazy wave at Velzland. Scarry. Many years ago I was staying at a camping ground in Haliewa but the swell was only about one meter. I walked up to Velzyland and it was breaking head height and half again. Phew it must have been shallow
I went to Waimea Bay and had a body surf as it was only a tiny crumbly beach break that day, but at least I can say I've body surfed the mighty Waimea Bay.
