My idle problem is OFFICIALLY RESOLVED!!!
WOOHOOO!!!!
After working on this issue for about a year (although not constantly), I have licked this problem. Tonite, I drove the car for about an hour and 30 miles! At the end, it was idling at 900-1000 rpms. It starts without having to touch the accelerator. The idle is a little rough for the first 30 seconds, then settles in to about 6-700 rpms; after a couple of minutes it'll idle nicely at 900 rpms. I'll still be tweaking it here and there because I am OC nutjob. Plus, at 35 MPH it gives me a slight bucking problem, feels like it might be running slightly lean.
The problem turned out to be a cross between the mixture screw, the idle setting and the WUR. Tapping the brass circle on the WUR was really the key to figuring this who thing out.
However, this does mean that I didn't do the other things I intended to do, but WHO CARES!
