78/79 used the pressed in pilot bearing. The answer is in the crank behind the flywheel. The 80 and later used the 3 6mm allen head bolts to hold the pilot bearing.
Someone swapped out the crank would be most likely answer if you have the 3 hole for the pilot bearing.
OR, your flywheel isnt a turbo and the pressure plate is sitting on the raise at the edge of the flywheel. The SC flywheel has a thicker edge keeping the turbo pressure plate from setting flush.
