For heat this is overkill IMHO. Just buy some nice windshield shades and crack the windows.
I would NOT tint the side windows, even remove existing tint. IMHO it is a ticket or even liability case waiting to happen here in CA.

I am trying to not have to cover the entire truck. AFA liability goes, I better not buy any new SUV or crossover. They all come with dark windows behind the B pillar from the factory. It don't remove unless you take a hammer to it.

Yes, true dat. I wasn't real disappointed when the seller of that black truck turned me down. The guy wanted 14K and neither KBB or Edmunds will support that number. I thought going as far as I did was pretty damn good.
