I don't need to rationalize my decision. I did my homework before buying/building.
It sounds like you are being pretty protective of your decision to spend more money on a vehicle that is only marginally superior on paper. In the real world, I can run smaller trails that a mule can't, I can load my cart into the bed of my pickup, and I don't have to register it with DMV, because it isn't possible. Around here, if you get caught with an ATV/UTV on the road, you get a ticket. Not so with golf carts. They only ask for a liability insurance card, and let you go.
