you took out the inside bolts (allen head) that are under the outer allen head short plugs, right? Just in case, they are along the top row of the cam tower. The easiest way to get to them, after you've pulled the short plugs, is get an allen head socket and you may have to grind down the outer part of the socket a little so it'll go into the hole. I forget the exact size allen but you can look it up online.
