Perhaps off-tangent, but MM does have a local competitor (L.A offers several business options to be cheated). PS Racing in Burbank (CA) has an equally similar, MM-like reputation. It seems their specialty is complete cars rather than mere engines, I think to avoid infringing on MM's trademarked "repair" procedures.
