Rick, most of the wineries will ship right to your house. It wasnt too much more expensive.
I was in napa and SF last weekend, we did a day trip to Napa on a 26 person bus, it was a blast.
Sorry I can't help more on the wineries, although I can say downtown Sonoma is a really cool area.
