I've been playing here for a bit and thought it about time for an introduction and the requisite photos. I've been a long time Porsche fan having started my interest while living in Germany as an American teenager. I was in high school there when the 911 was introduced. My first 911 was a new '78 SC. Unlike the supply today, dealers had limited allocations and the dealer in Louisville had to do some searching. We found a new Targa in Columbus, Ohio, but the dealer would not ship, so I had to travel to pick it up.
I've since owned an '87 944S, a '96 993 Coupe and a 2000 996 Cabrio. The Cabrio departed when I found my current car. It's a 1987 Diamond Blue Carrera Coupe with 32,000 documented miles. The Turbo tail was added by the original owner in 1988. I'm not crazy about it, but at least it was a typical mod for the era. I'm really enjoying the return to driving a sports car instead of a luxury high performance supercar. It's either that or I'm becoming a nostalgic old fart. In any event, here she is.
