Prove Malkin keep trying to fight once they were down. Looked like Bergeron was doing a pretty good job also.
No Cooke's hit wasn't clean but neither was the hit on Neil. That was Cooke's first major in 2 years, geez. AND if he wanted to seriously injure the guy he certainly could have, (2 years ago he would have tried).
I know Joe, you'll read this with an open mind...
His account:
"I chipped the puck in [to the offensive zone] early, just after [crossing] the red line," he said. "I had quite a bit of interference from [Boston defenseman Torey] Krug, which pushed me inside.
"After I get by him, I look up. I see [McQuaid's] right shoulder, and he looks me right in the eyes. I think at the last minute, he goes to make a reverse with the puck. I was committed to hit him. I don't drive him through the boards. I make contact. I think it's a penalty, but I don't think it's an ejection or a suspension. But that's my opinion."
The black and yellow colored glasses you are viewing the series thru sure are working well

Malkin pounded on Bergeron while Berg was on his back on the ice (would you like me to post the video?) Low class. Especially that Berg shouldn't be fighting someone that big anyway.
Cooke: OK, I see his excuse. Plausible but he has a reputation and the ejections haven't stopped this year so I am skeptical. I do appreciate the "I know you'll read this with an open mind". Um, should that have been in green?
Oh, BTW,
the Penguin dominance continues at the end of the 1st period in game 2: 4 - 1 Bruins. Wow they really are taking it to the Bs.
p.s. There is a thread just for the Pen/Bruin series. We should continue discussing the conference finals here:
http://forums.pelicanparts.com/off-topic-discussions/752231-penquins-versus-bruins.html so we don't have all this chatter taking up space that will be needed when the Bruins play the Blackhawks for the Cup.
