Getty Design now sells a "longhood conversion" that has a latch mounting further up the hood to allow it to fit a 74 911S-964 without cutting off the nose. They also have fiberglass early bumpers that bolt on. I've seen one done, and it doesn't look bad until you open the hood. It's also quite a reach under to get to the latch.

Getty 74'-93' Long Conversion Hood

$569.00 - Core Mat
$709.00 - Foam Core
$959.00 - Carbon Fiber

Fits 911 - 1974 thru 1993. This is a special long hood with short hood liner. For converting 74' or later chassis to a 73' Carrera RS look without having to change the front tub panel.

I really like Getty products, and this will save a lot of $$$ at the body shop, but after looking at and comparing it to one done right, I decided it was worth the $$$ to go all the way.
