Be aware that if you use the fiberglass long hood with the later latch position, you will be chasing the usual fiberglass distortion issues on a very low-crown surface. You will have to forego hood shocks. You will have to cope with the fiberglass "settling" over time.

Having done a backdate once with a fiberglass long hood, I would not do it again. Fiberglass and low crown panels are not a good combination. Disclaimer: I've not tried a carbon fiber version, and that could be a lot better -- if it's 'real' carbon fiber.

Other changes to the chassis to do the backdate are quite minor. You can do them yourself in a weekend.
