from what i've seen, the parents sued to allow her to be in the adult transplant pool of organs - not to jump up the list.
Currently, you need to be 12 for adult lungs.
Medical advancements now allow for younger. The doctors are saying she has excellent chances with an adult lung.
The bureaucracy hasn't kept up with medical advancements.
She's not being placed in front of anyone because of a judge or media coverage. Just allowed to be in the pool for consideration.
At least, that's what i've seen...

Doctors should be the decision makers here. Not hhs.
