The Ministry of Labour has laid 13 charges after investigating last year’s fatal stage collapse at a Radiohead concert in Downsview.
Eight charges, announced late Friday afternoon, are against constructor Live Nation — Live Nation Canada Inc., and Live Nation Ontario Concerts GP Inc.
Four charges were laid against the employer, Optex Staging & Services Inc., and one against an individual engineer.
Scott Johnson, 33, a Radiohead drum technician, died last summer when the Downsview stage collapsed before the band's concert was to begin, forcing a cancellation of the sold-out show. Three others were injured.
A first appearance in court is scheduled for June 27.
