I'd say the double edge blade. I started using because of ingrown hairs. If you are traveling a lot, it might not be the best. TSA stopped me on my last trip and made me take out the blades. If you drive or have an address you could mail some blades to or check your bags, it would work and get a better shave. I fit a razor, brush, soap container along with all other items in a normal toilet kit sized bag. Instead of the containers shaving soap comes in, I just but the reloads and put them in a plastic container with a screw top that I got at the dollar store. I think they had bath salts in them.

As Bill said, the other blades pull the hair out, gets cut and then slides back under your skin. By just having one very sharp blade the hair gets cut instead of pulled.
