Should've been there Alf.....hope to see you at a future ride.I'd like to thank Larry for his organizing effort and everyone else for their most excellent company. Special thanks (and awe) goes to Terry who got me back on the road for the Sunday cruise home after one of my front calipers seized and the "pad" was reduced to just the backing plate. After many calls trying to source an 85 911 front right brake caliper and pad set....in Pullman Wa......at 7:00 pm on a Saturday night (hope springs eternal), we elected to block off the brake line. With what you may ask, a nail, as it turned out. Alas, we couldn't find a nail, that is until Jay from Quesnel noticed a house beside the hotel didn't seem to have anyone home. So he goes off to investigate with the pliers from my Porsche tool kit and returns with the perfect sized nail.....now that's good sheet! So after a couple of beers and a good pizza from the dinner spot (by the way, happy birthday Cassie) we returned to the hotel and Terry installed the most perfect nail in the line. Worked like a damn and didn't leak a drop the whole trip home. However, unfortunately missing a Rolf and Deb led trip on the final day...and having to drive like I do my Landcruiser, and not the 911. No drama at all. Phil and Robert also contributed great input (and the use of Phil's great flashlight) and I'd like to thank them as well. Cheers.
