Since we've had a couple of threads on the topic, I thought it was time for a comprehensive poll.

The question is: Do you have cosmetic procedures done on yourself?

And if yes, what? The poll choices are (and you can pick more than one):
1. Hair? This would be anything other than haircuts and, for ladies, hair styling. For example, coloring, gray blending, extensions, perms, baldness treatments.
2. Teeth? This would be dental work beyond that required for health or function. For example, whitening, straightening, cosmetic caps, jaw realignment (if for mostly cosmetic reasons).
3. Skin? This would be other than bathing, moisturizing, sunscreen, manicures. For example, filler injections, Botox injections, anti-wrinkle treatments, tanning, lightening. I'll throw skin art in there too.
4. Body shape? This would be invasive (typically surgical) treatments that are for cosmetic reasons and are not to repair an injury, burn, etc. For example, nose jobs, tummy tucks, face and neck lifts, chin fat reductions, breast and other implants, breast and other reductions, various lipo (fat removal) procedures.
5. Other This is whatever I haven't included above. For example, I just thought of contact lenses to change eye color.

The poll is anonymous (others can't see your individual response), but feel free to discuss the details if you want. I don't think cosmetic procedures are anything to be abashed about. It doesn't seem any different than dressing stylishly or losing some vanity pounds.

One of my friends, a lady in her early 50's, had an eyelift (is that the term?) done and damn, she looks terrific and natural. I won't hesitate to do that sort of stuff when the desire arises. In the meantime, I get a gray blend when my hair is cut, and take a daily finasteride for hair loss. Maybe my man card is a bit tattered, but a little lamination will take care of that.
