I got to meet this guy:
Brian Binnie of Scaled Composites. He was the pilot during the successful Spaceship One flight that won the "X Prize" in 2004. Not a NASA astronaut but certainly a space flight pioneer. We saw the flight and later he gave a talk about the entire Spaceship One project at a pilots association meeting. We were invited to join him for a ride on Spaceship Two when space launch tours become available.
