I bought a WORX 24 v battery lawn mower 3 years ago and have subjected it twice a week cutting at my own home, as well as a commercial plaza property. I chose it because it is light, very manouverable, and folds neatly into the back of my SUV.
The battery is still in great shape and holds a charge. The instructions state to keep the blade sharp (so it doesn't have to work too hard, obviously doesn't apply to trimmers). Also, in the winter, bring the battery inside and charge it once a month. Store it unplugged.
Last week I cut the grass and got caught in a downpour and kept cutting. I'm glad to say I did not get electrocuted
