Through the years I have seen my sister keep the house together with five kids while my brother-in-law Navy Captain went on several deployments. Times where he is on a submarine and she can't talk to him for weeks at a time. I don't know how military wives do it. I would go ballistic without my man. Hats off to you and your husband, Janet. |
My dad was gone a lot for TDY duty when I was growing up. He was gone months at a time. My mom finally got him to watch my brother & I for two weeks and my mom took a round trip cruise ship from Hawaii to Japan. The day after she sailed off I was admitted to the hospital with pneumonia. He had a stressful two weeks and it made him appreciate what my mom did all the time.
