A little late to the party but... your instincts are good here Janet. I have hired maybe two dozen women over the years and hopefully learned something from the experience. If I will be working in close proximity with a woman on a daily basis I prefer to choose competent skills, cheerful personality, significantly overweight, with facial moles.
In the past I had hired young cute hotties that smelled good, only to find far too much of my male processing power devoted to the idea of separating them from their panties. This was not really very productive for running a business or staying married. A somewhat less attractive woman does not present such a distraction for me or my crew of techs. I can't speak for the boys in your office though.
