More an issue with the wife complaining about the noise, no disrespect to women but if your snoring woke them last night after a month of no snoring suddenly "you have a snoring problem!"

Snoring is the most common symptom of sleep apnea. Mild to moderate sleep apnea can be virtually undetectable to self or one's partner. The issue is that frequent apnea events which can only be detected and measured via sleep study will not allow you to ever get into REM restful sleep and this can be extremely dangerous if untreated.
Get the sleep study done. I've been on CPAP for 10 years now. Best thing I've ever done!
