Just as Bill said, we weren't affected as we live west of the city.
I did do "what you're not supposed to do" however...I went for a long drive. I headed out to Bragg Creek...unreal how much flooding there was..the Elbow River was a mile wide! I then drove north to Cochrane to check out the Bow river....unbelievable amount of flow, though it appeared that the town, being high enough, was mostly unaffected. I then headed back to the TransCanada Highway to head back into town. I stopped at the PetroCanada....it was dead quiet...I was the only vehicle there and usually that station is very busy. As I drove back east towards Calgary I quickly realized that I was the only vehicle on the road! Man, I wish I would have taken the C4S instead of the GMC...I could have gotten away with a good run!
In all seriousness however, I do hope that all Calgary and area Pelicans are well and safe!
Cheers!
Alex
