I am in Discovery and took my family to my dad's in the south. We are up on the hill of the community and felt we didn't really need to leave but I wanted to look after my family. We had our first sleep at home last night (along with a lot wine)

I came home yesterday expecting to see the last six months worth of basement work ruined by water but thank the lord we had no flooding. We have a sump pump but they killed power thursday night. A lot of my neighbours stayed and I bet my neighbour to the south saved our basement by keeping his sump pump going with a generator.

Going into our valley a lot of people have massive damage to their basements. I guess it can always be worse. The city has and still is doing an unbelievably good job in all areas of this disaster.

My family's thoughts and prayers go out to all those affected.

I know I will be busy next week helping our customers with remote access to their networks as I don't think too many people will be getting into work.
