To get 280 BHP from your 3.0, you will need:
46mm Webers or PMO's or an equivalent ITB system
11:1 CR
Twin-ignition
Custom cams (there are several choices)
A set of GOOD 1 5/8 headers with a proper race muffler
A host of oiling modifications
Close attention to engine assembly detail
Close-ratio gears to keep such an engine in its powerband
A GOOD oil cooling system to maintain oil temps at or below 200 deg F.
