Very surreal as I am way up high, so no impacts at my end. My in-laws are in the same neighbourhood as steathln but up on the ridge - so despite that the neighbourhood was evacuated, they were untouched.

Downtown is still closed in sections, so I haven't been to work. I've spent the past 2 days helping one one my wife's best friend's father dig ut his basement - he's 82 and has lived in the same house in Rideau Park for over 40 years. Thankfully only the basement filled up to about a foot from the ceiling, but you can imagine how much stuff he had squirreled away in the basement. I am dead tired and have probably only worked about 10% as hard as those in the middle of it.
