Sounds like that would work pretty well. I don't know how big your PST is or how long it would take. If it works (I've never done it that way, but it sounds reasonable), save the file to where you want it, and then you should be able to tell Outlook to use that file using the info from emcon5.
If you need more specifics, tell us what version of outlook you are using.
