Ok. Yes I searched, but distilling the information is taking far too much time and I get conflicting information. Most tire opinion is related to how wide for later-model cars. I need restoration advice.
I have a 1969 911T .. Steelies are heavy and a nice set is hard to find. I couldn't afford the early 5.5 hearts Fuchs so instead I bought a nice set of 6x15j fuchs for around $900. They are nice and already redone.
SO now I am on Coker looking for the right size for the 6x15 wheels I have. I want the car to appear year-original, even if the T came with steelies. I am willing to spend the coin on the correct appearance. These
tires are very costly. But is this the correct tire for an original look?
- Can/should I go with a thinner tire?
- Will I have any rub issues with these?
The point is not wide, it's correct appearance.
many thanks!!!
