I only use a radar detector on long trips. However, my Samsung Galaxy S3 sets off the Valentine One. Took me a while to figure out what was causing it. I end up turning off my phone and checking message at fuel stops.
I picked up an Escort Passport 8500 X50 from Goodwill recently and was trying to decide which one to sell. I love the arrows on the V1, but the cell phone thing is very frustrating. Funny thing is that Valentine suggest that if this happens that one "cure" is to change cell phone provider.
